Evyn and Frankie's wedding was at Southall Meadows near Liepers Fork. They were married under a big, beautiful tree in the meadow and invited their friends to a giant square dance party afterwards led by the Hog Slop String Band. You know those days where you have every intention of leaving the house because it's so pretty out but one foot out the door, you've already melted into a puddle so you slip your puddle self back inside to the couch? That was how this day felt, but Evyn and Frankie and their guests rallied and danced the night away, helped along with aguas frescas from Mas Tacos and popsicles from Padrino's Pops (good call).

Also, fun fact. Evyn was on "Say Yes to the Dress" when she was choosing her wedding dress! The title of the segment is oh-so-click-bait-y-dramatic, especially because Evyn is in no way dramatic, but it's fun to watch. We think she chose the right one!

weddings, travel

Summer is slipping away, but this wedding still feels like it just happened. In May, Jenn and Peter got married on the incredible island of St. Lucia. We got to spend 6 glorious days basking in the tropical sunshine and day drizzle, staring up at the stars at night drinking Piton after Piton. While being there in itself was a dream we wanna keep living, we had the absolute privilege of spending those 6 days with Jenn and Peter, two of the most generous, kind, wonderful people and 50 of their closest friends and family. We came away with 52 new best friends and a million memories (is the phrase "what happens in St. Lucia, stays in St. Lucia" common?). We were so honored to be included in their celebrations and photograph their wedding day. Paradise or not, Mother Nature still has her own mind, and the weather waffled between beautiful sunshine and an absolute DOWNPOUR on their wedding day. Plans had to change, but the incredible staff at Sugar Beach Resort didn't hesitate to completely change the outdoor ceremony location to an equally beautiful spot under a cabana. The rain rushed in so heavily before the ceremony started, the floor needed to be mopped up before Jenn walked down the aisle. And as predictable as a movie, the sun came out in all it's glory as the ceremony ended. Wishing Jenn and Peter a lifetime of St.-Lucia-like paradise in their marriage. And St. Lucia, we'll be back.

love, engagement

Melissa and Steve (amazing videographers) have started a tradition in their marriage that we think is the best. They got married two years ago and their plan is to travel to a new city each year for their anniversary and have their photos taken in each place. Last year they went to Paris. So beautiful! This year for their anniversary, they traveled from Toronto, where they live, to Nashville to go to Bonnaroo and see the sights and eat the eats around Nashville. Their trip happened to fall directly on CMA Fest week, but we still rocked downtown, only getting photobombed once by an inebriated stranger. Love this beautiful, cuddle-filled session. Cheers to year three! Also, can you two start a blog of your photo sessions so I can follow along with your travels, pretty please?
