Katherine and Derek were married last month on their family farm in the backyard surrounded by tons of family and friends. It was an incredibly beautiful ceremony that honored that sanctity of marriage that has been lived out by their grandparents and parents before them. The reception was cozy with the setting sun, chatter of long-time friends, s'mores roasting over the campfires and finished out with an impromptu dance party among their close friends. It was pretty much how you hope every weekend of yours goes. Congratulations, Derek and Katherine! Wishing you all the joy!

Also, pro-tip: Those pictures of Derek and Katherine after the ceremony? That's the kind of magic we can create together when we plan for photo time with the two of you during golden hour (the hour before the sun sets). It makes for such dreamy, romantic photos and is a good time to steal away from the reception for a few moments to yourselves. We'd love to plan your timeline with this included as a priority!

Here are some of our favorites from Katherine and Derek's day.

love, engagement

Matt and Liz are getting married this weekend so I wanted to get their engagement pictures up on the blog before Saturday! They got up crazy early with us to catch this incredible Nashville sunrise and fog for their engagement pictures. Can't wait for your wedding this weekend!
